Can your website be easily found online?

Can your website be easily found online?

Here are some simple things you can do to make it easier for customers to find you...

  1. Verify and index your website with Google Search Console
  2. Check for broken links regularly - here's a tool you can use
  3. Make sure your site has a good load speed by resizing images before you upload them (keep them within 500 KB)
  4. Add links to other websites where appropriate and encourage others to link to yours
  5. Have good content that prevents visitors from immediately clicking away
  6. Include keywords (search terms that customers are likely to use) in your website content and file names and use tags and categories on products and blog posts
  7. Make sure you've got simple info like your business name and location on your site
  8. Link from your website to your social media and vice versa
  9. Create a 404 page to encourage visitors to stay on your site if they do find a broken link
  10. Have a valid security certificate (SSL)
  11. Regularly update content to keep it fresh
