When it comes to branding a business, I see a lot of people getting stuck thinking that if their logo is everywhere, then they are creating consistent branding. When you spend money investing in your business and getting a designer to make you a logo, it can be a little “where to from here?” once that logo is sitting on your website and social media pages, especially if you can’t afford to get a full brand identity designed right at the start.
However, your logo, no matter how excited you are about it, is not the be all and end all of your visual presence. Don’t get me wrong, having a well designed logo is a key component of a brand identity, but it’s the strategy behind how you use it and what you use it with that will start to really create a cohesive and well styled brand identity that people begin to associate with your business.
Over the next few weeks I am going to go through ways in which you can take what you have with your branding and logo so far, and build on it to start creating the brand of your dreams. This is not to say I think you should create all your branding from scratch yourself as a non designer as there is a lot to be said for investing in a professional. I’m saying that as a business owner, there is a lot that you CAN and SHOULD do to build on the logo that has been designed for you. And even if you aren’t a designer or you don't even have a logo yet, you can learn a few tricks that can make a big impact on the way your customers or clients see you and engage with you.
Over the course of August, I will be sending out my six part series over two emails a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Each email will be dedicated to one topic, with a PDF worksheet attached so you can take what you have read and start working on it with your business and brand in mind.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up below in the footer. Oh and if you are already signed up for my list, but want to receive the email series, email me and let me know and I’ll add you on. See you for the first email on Tuesday 14th August all about Colour.
